Velvet Couch Clothing Shoot Preview

I had a great chance to shoot the VC boys and girls for their new clothing line article we will be running. Gerard, the owner is a long time friend of mine so it was a pleasure.

Here’s a couple of preview shots from the shoot. I had 2 x 580ex as backlights and one Alien Bee with a giant softbox as my main light.

This is that photo. I realised later on i had the hair light to hot and it blew out the side of his face but the backdrop worked well.

Here’s a group shot on the couch. Still got the 2 580ex’s at the back but i switched it to the octabox.

Here’s the group shot. Gerard was really happy with the results. We changed the position of the hat due to the shadow cast across the face of the left but as a graffiti artist, it’s what he wanted..i really like the nice soft lighting from the octabox.
