Sean Cullen, Fakie zero spin

I thought i’d put this photo up as it was interesting to me. It was printed in the latest Kingdom Magazine. I went out one night with Sean Cullen while he was in London and he spotted this gap. It’s only a 9 stair gap but there was sign underneath it to make it a bit bigger. Sean warmed up, i set up and this is the result. It’s a fakie zero spin rocket grab. I pulled this shot apart using photoshop. To see the original you’ll have to go out buy a copy of Kingdom Mag.

Sean always has a way of tweaking his grabs to make them look very photogenic. I had 3 flashes on this photo. One to very right hand corner on a window sill, you may be able see some flare from it. I had one flash right over the top of me. I’m accually crouching through my tripod. It’s postioned as high as possible, almost level with Sean. One more flash was located to the far left to light up the stairs and the landing. I got some wicked colour from Seans leather jacket, the grass and the roses. We tried it a few times till we got it perfect and it paid off with another print photo.

Hope you like it.

Jamie Stenner Shoot

Jamie Stenner is one of the nicest, hard working guys i’ve met here since i came to the UK. He’s works 6 days a week in his parents skateshop. He teaches skating in his home town of Bogna Regnis and skates every chance he gets. He comes up to London to skate every few weeks and i always make time for him to get some shots. He just got a Music and Set-up’s on www.be-mag.com front page with some of these photo’s but here’s a few more you wouldn’t have seen.

Saffron Waldon skatemeet i had. The sun was setting as jamie laced a nice sweatstance around the end of the bowl.

After a long day of skating around London Jamie still managed to lace this bank to Topacid. It’s only a ledge trick but the photo turned out sick and he made it the whole way with style

A nice topacid at Liverpool St, London. We had just enough time to set-up one flash and get the shot before security busted us

Playstation is always good on a rainy day, Jamie just got his new skates to impress the small kids next to the mini ramp with a stale air

This spot is very old with a new addition to it. Josh Petty gapped accross this in an England video called Volume and it was printed for an England Ad in Daliy Bread. Enough history, Ally-oop topacid across the death gap.

Love Those Boots Jam

Rain, Rain, Rain was all I saw the whole way on the bus to Portsmouth for Love Those Boots Jam. Just as we were approaching the city though, the sun shone through and it was surprisingly hot.

The park was full of kids of all ages. Kids turned up from all the local towns around Portsmouth and the weather was great. Sam Tuffnell, a local at the park was showing how much potential this park had by transferring, grinding and spinning everything in sight. Luckily he was one of the organisers with Sharpy and not competing or he would have easily won everything.

Jamie Stenner and Sam Kew were the standout’s over the day even though the talent was of a high level. Sam Kew taking out most of the jam sections with a topsoul on the roof at the far end of the park and fakie 360 disaster over the box to ally-oop topacid. It was really great day of skating and set-up for the premier of Love-Those-Boots at a local pub.

The premier went fine. Skaters packed the pub and the cheering could be heard from the street. Catching up with people for a drink was the highlight of the night and of coarse the video premier. Check your local
skateshop for a copy. It was a nice weekend down south and only for a 2hr bus ride, it was a good skate and weekend.

The Chaz Sands Invitational took place in Glasgow Scotland. It was my first trip up there so i was excited and happy to catch up with my friends from O/S and shoot some pics as my knee stuffed and i couldn’t skate. Here’s a bunch of shots and sequences i shot during the comp and some i set up while the comp was going on.
